Welcome To SINDHUDURG

India has historically been an extensive exporter of quality agricultural products like grains, spices, silk etc. A double monsoon season along with rich fertile soil and skilled labour has ensured that the produce is second to none. This quality has been long recognised by the world and has been actively imported by several countries across the globe. Despite the growing popularity, India has still not reached its full potential as an exporter. Despite being the 7 largest country in the world, we are only 12th largest exporter of food products. Countries like Netherlands and Belgium (2nd and 9th largest food exporters respectively), that are only as big as the state of Haryana, export 3.7 times more than India does. Clearly, we have a lot of catching to do. In this regard, the western costal belt of Maharashtra or the Konkan belt can plenty potential in terms of Mangoes, Cashew nuts and other local produce. Historically these products have been sent out of India but only in limited quantities and has benefited only a handful of people in the process. There is plenty of scope to not only increase the volume but also to improve the process efficiency and there by quality of the exports. Our aim at Sindhufornia Overseas, is to create a platform for the of export of rich & highly nutritious “Konkan Meva” worldwide, both, in raw and processed form. The Konkan region is abundant with high number of food processing units. Of these, there are very few units which use their full potential for production, in terms of quantity and quality. Sindhufornia Overseas will provide a global platform, not only to the processing units, but also to those farmers that have been restricted to the local market.

To present the business plan is simple words would be to say that Sindhufornia will standardise, repackage, brand, market and distribute the products from different processors under our own label. The first phase of the plan is to identify quality processors of these products. So far, we have shortlisted 10 such processors.
